TCCA Board Chair and Director
Tero Pesonen is TCCA Board Chair, representing the Finnish governmental public safety operator Erillisverkot. Until recently, Tero was TCCA's Critical Communications Broadband Group (CCBG) Chair for 12 years, from September 2014 until September 2026. He stepped down from this role following his election as TCCA Board Chair in June 2026, and has served as a Board Member of TCCA for many years.
With more than 25 years' experience in critical communications, Tero has held global management and leadership roles, facilitating strong customer relations, strategic business orientation and wide-ranging solution development. He has been involved with Professional Mobile Radio communications since 1997, promoting and organising TETRA interoperability activities and developing a deep understanding of public safety application models in both critical narrowband and critical broadband services.
Tero is TCCA's representative in 3GPP and holds Master of Science degrees in electrical engineering and economics. In addition to his work in the critical communications field, Tero advises non-profit organisations in developing best practices in operations and communications.
