Making TETRA-MCX Interworking work – assessing the alternative options

This webinar took place at 10.00 CEST on Tuesday 12 May 2026

The presentation slides, recording and Q & A are available below.

The Interworking Function (IWF) interface provides a standards-based way to connect TETRA systems with mission critical MCX broadband systems.

Not all TETRA system vendors are implementing this standard-based IWF interface on their TETRA system.

In this webinar vendors presented alternative ways to connect your TETRA system with MCX using the standard-based IWF and as an alternative the TETRA standard-based Intersystem Interface (ISI) or proprietary console APIs.

These (and other) solutions will be demonstrated live a few weeks later at the IWF Focus Forum during Critical Communications World (CCW) in London, taking place from 16-18 June 2026.

Guidance for the successful usage of Massive Mission Critical Video

This webinar took place on Tuesday 21 January 2025

The recording, slides and Q & A document are available below.

Video is one of the most promising and versatile technologies for enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness in emergency and disaster situations. Video is widely considered as a significant capability to improve safety, coordination, collaboration, and decision-making quality, particularly during high stakes, end-user operational scenarios.

Drawing insights from the work of a TCCA task force, this webinar aims to provide valuable guidance on what public safety agencies and operators need to consider to successfully plan & implement video services for mission-critical operations, especially in cases where the scale of its usage is deemed ‘massive’.

The main considerations and solutions to address the key challenges of massive mission-critical video will be presented, including deployment of suitable network capabilities with sufficient capacity, implementing specific network and video application functionalities, and taking operational factors into perspective.

Join task force leaders Sanne Stijve and Sami Honkaniemi for this insightful session and Q & A.
