TCCA Board Member and Director
Cate Walton is Chief Engineer for the UK Home Office Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme (ESMCP) and TCCA Board Member representing the UK Home Office. The ESMCP has ongoing responsibility for the continuation of the Airwave TETRA network service while the new Emergency Services Network (ESN) is built and tested and during the transition period. Cate’s team is responsible for the end-to-end performance of the ESN and ensuring that it meets the exacting needs of the UK’s emergency services. Cate has worked in the radio and secure mobile communications sector since joining Marconi as a graduate engineer, working for NB3, Dolphin Telecoms and Airwave in the private sector, moving into the public sector in 2004.
