Zetron’s Acom EVO Running on Tablet PC over 4G LTE Offers Fast, Flexible Dispatching
Dispatchers can utilize the full functionality that Zetron’s Advanced Communications (Acom EVO) dispatch system has to offer at 4G speeds. Running Acom EVO on a tablet PC connecting to a 4G LTE network allows public-safety agencies to rapidly deploy remote or mobile dispatch operations securely whenever the need arises.
Redmond, WA, U.S.A., March 7, 2013 – Zetron, a leading provider of mission-critical communications solutions worldwide, announced that its Advanced Communications (Acom EVO) digital dispatch solution running on a tablet PC can now operate over a 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network. This allows Acom EVO to be deployed quickly, providing command and control wherever and whenever remote or mobile dispatch operations are needed.
Acom EVO is compatible with any Windows 7/8 tablet with 32-bit or greater operating system and can be used with a Bluetooth connected headset or the tablet’s built-in speaker and microphone. Connection to a LTE network allows for full dispatching capability at remote or on-scene locations. Whether the need is to set up a temporary dispatch location or provide dispatchers capabilities during transition to a disaster recovery center, users will be able to connect to multiple radio channels simultaneously, make telephone calls and patch calls to radio users all from the palm of their hand.
“Zetron’s tablet dispatch capability on 4G LTE networks allows you to position a dispatcher at the scene of an incident for increased situational awareness,” said Zetron V.P. of Product Management, Kathy Broadwell. “Combine that with the ability to quickly and safely connect the remote dispatcher with the communication center or directly to response personnel at 4G speeds and the end result is improved responsiveness.”
