TELTRONIC MODERNISES THE ROUEN (FRANCE) TRANSPORT SYSTEM WITH THE INSTALLATION OF ITS TETRA TECHNOLOGY

November 2007

Teltronic will install its TETRA technology in the French city of Rouen’s buses, trams and emergency vehicles. Rouen has a population of 420,000.

The Teltronic intervention consists of the installation of a total of 425 digital mobile radio units, which will make up the Rouen transport private communications system. In this way secure communication will be guaranteed between the vehicles, the control centre and the passengers, at the same time as allowing data transmission, such as passenger information and remote monitoring.

The transport system has been renovated during the course of 2007, with the introduction of new ecological buses that run on a bio-fuel obtained from rape-seed oil. With this installation of new Teltronic equipment, the Rouen transport system has taken a further and important step forward towards modernisation.
