Sepura leads the way in China with launch of a new manufacturing facility
26th March 2008
Sepura has become the first major TETRA terminal supplier to manufacture in China through its partner, the Tianjin 712 Communication and Broadcasting (TCB).
To celebrate this ground-breaking development a ceremony was held at Tianjin, attended by Chinese officials, partners and customers. This included a formal signing to establish a Warranty and After Sales Service Centre, which will serve all Sepura partners and end customers in China.
Along with Sepura’s sales team based at its office in Beijing, the new manufacturing and product support centre will provide locally-made products, local customisation and a local repair service for its rapidly growing customer base in China.
Graham Matthews, Sepura’s Chief Executive Officer said: “This makes a substantial statement to our customers that Sepura means business in China. With the TETRA market in China increasing, the new facility will give our customers exactly what they need – products that they can get locally and more quickly, that can be customised and serviced without incurring any unnecessary transport or time delays.”
“We hope Chinese customers will appreciate this investment, which will help to continue the rapid growth of our market share in China.”
Gordon Watling, Chief Operating Officer of Sepura, added, “This is the result of outstanding teamwork between Sepura and TCB. Together we have achieved our primary goal of manufacturing in China, and can now look forward to continuing our rapid growth in the region.”
