Sepura appoints New Chief Executive Officer

Sepura plc has appointed Gordon Watling, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, as Chief Executive Officer, to succeed Graham Matthews who recently announced his intention to retire. The appointment took effect from 1 October 2008.

Since joining the company almost two years ago as Chief Operating Officer, Gordon has been has been instrumental in delivering operating efficiencies and major internal change.

Graham steps down after a distinguished

career as a founding member of Sepura and as the Company’s first CEO since its formation in 2002. He will remain with the business in the short-term to ensure a seamless handover.

Philip Nolan, Chairman of Sepura said: “My Board and I are very pleased that Gordon Watling has accepted the role of Chief Executive of Sepura. Gordon has been Chief Operating Officer since 2006 and during this time has acquired a detailed understanding of the Company and its markets.”
