Sepura appoints a new Distributor forBeneluxregion

15th May 2008 – Sepura’s will celebrate its Gold sponsorship of the ASTRID User Day event in Belgium on 15-16 May, by announcing that Abiom is its new Distribution Partner for the Public Safety sector in the Benelux Region.

Abiom is a well-established distributor, which is based inNijmegen,Netherlands, and has considerable experience in matching public safety users’ requirements to radio technology solutions.

Abiom’s pursuit is total customer satisfaction. In its effort to achieve this goal, a team of local staff has been recruited, all with proven knowledge and skills that have been developed in the Belgian PMR market over many years.”

In 2007, Sepura and Abiom both won contracts to supply the Dutch public safety community following an EU competitive tendering process.

Based on this success in theNetherlands, Abiom has responded quickly by establishing a new subsidiary company situated nearBrussels, to address the Belgian public safety market.

ASTRID is the nationwide TETRA operator for all public safety and emergency services inBelgium. At the ‘De Montil’ Congress Centre in Affligem (nearBrussels), recent developments of the ASTRID network and TETRA in general will be presented.
