Sepura announces new multi-site EADS test system investment
Today Sepura announced its investment in the installation of a major new multi-site EADS (formerly Nokia) TETRA test system. The equipment will be incorporated into Sepura’s Test & Integration Centre facility located in Cambridge, UK.
“This new test equipment represents a significant addition to our product verification and development programme,” confirms Malcolm Quelch, Sepura’s Development Director. “It underlines our commitment to ensuring that our products operate on any network infrastructure-and testing interoperability is key to making this a reality for our customers.”
The new EADS system adds to the extensive range of test systems already in operation in the Cambridge labs – including systems from Motorola, Frequentis, Thales, Rohill and Teltronic. As the leading supplier of TETRA radios, Sepura ensures all its new product developments undergo extensive testing before release. This includes a rigorous series of interoperability trials.
“Sepura is dedicated to ensuring-from the design stage onwards-that its products are network independent, continues Malcolm Quelch.
“This extension to our in-house capabilities will speed up interoperability testing and help to ensure that our products fully exploit the latest features available in other manufacturers’ TETRA infrastructures”.
