Oil giant chooses Sepura for Argentina HQ

28th July 2008 – YPF SA, a prominent oil and property company in Argentina, has chosen Sepura TETRA digital radios for the secure communications within its headquarters in Buenos Aires.

Sepura SRH3500 hand-held radios will enable security and facility management teams to have secure, clear and reliable voice and data communications in its current building.

The radios will be used in an increasing number when they move to a new landmark building which is currently under construction. This will be one of the most innovative in the city – and will include eco features such as natural trees and a winter garden.

The order was secured by Intema, Sepura’s partner in Argentina. David Chapiro, President of Intema, said: “YPF has found the radios to be the ideal solution to their communications needs. They’re versatile, robust and designed for a demanding environment.”

Tim Mills, Sepura’s Regional Sales Director for South America, said: “This marks a significant step for Sepura in Argentina as it is our first sale to a commercial company, following previous sales wins to the police.”
