In addition to this Motorola has signed a five-year contract with thePortuguese Ministry of Interior(Ministrio da Administrao Interna) to provide 1,000 TETRA Covert TCR1000 digital two-way radios, including accessories. The portable terminals will be used by the security forces belonging to different organisations for undercover operations.

The TCR1000 is the smallest TETRA digital two-way radio currently available worldwide. The terminal can be carried inconspicuously, even under light clothing for intuitive and discreet use.
