Motorola’s end-to-end business-critical communications solutions sales to rail and port operators gain momentum across Asia Pacific

MALAYSIA, May 19, 2006 – Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT), a global leader in wireless communications, has been rapidly gaining momentum as a solution provider for major transportation operators across Asia Pacific. One of many milestone awards from key transportation customers in Asia Pacific includes Malaysia’s Express Rail Link (ERL) Sdn Bhd and Modern Terminal Limited in Hong Kong – Asia’s first seaport to implement the TETRA (TErrestrial Trunked RAdio) system.

ERL is the operator of Malaysia’s first high-speed train, providing airport services at the Kuala Lumpur City Centre Air Terminal and high-speed rail services between the air terminal and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
