Objectives and key initiatives

The ARG activities in the region shall be guided by TCCA Strategic objectives :

  •      Principal Objective 1. Advocate the importance of critical communications, and its vital role within societies and economies.
  •      Principal Objective 2: Enable successful deployment, operation and evolution of mission-critical end-to-end systems and services.
  •      Principal Objective 3: Strengthen the ecosystem and range of critical communication solutions through global market harmonisation.

The Asia region will encompass North Asia (Japan, Korea, Greater China,), South-East Asia (ASEAN) and South Asia (India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh).

Asia RG will play a role and represent TCCA in the Asia region and provide regional insights for the benefit of all TCCA members and the TCCA Board.

The endeavours of ARG should include, but not be limited to, the following key activities:

a)    Understand the landscape in respect to business and mission critical communications in each of the nations within the region, including legal and regulatory, radio spectrum, cultural, geo-political and end user use cases.

b)    Foster opportunities for information exchange between members and with all mission critical stakeholders across the region including regional conference/workshop events (CC Asia, CC India), media and marketing, and external events where TCCA content or participation is feasible.

c)    Develop and agree regional strategies to deepen understanding of mission critical communications aligned with TCCA objectives towards global harmonisation based on cultivating an open standards-based ecosystem across the region.

d)    Agree and prioritise activities to align with these core objectives

e)    Ensure opportunities for TCCA and member advocacy with key government agencies, and end user organisations from all BC and MC sectors.

f)    Agree and implement strategies that ensure the availability of spectrum for critical communication users for narrowband and broadband technologies and enable market growth and the development of diverse ecosystems.
