Global 5G Alliance Summit at MWC Barcelona 2025

Global 5G Alliance Summit – The rise of digital industries in private and public sector powered by GSMA APAC 5G Industry Community will take place at MWC Barcelona 2025 in the GSMA Knowledge Zone in Hall 8.1 CC8.16 on Wednesday, 5 March 2025 13:30 – 16:00. This session will bring together APAC 5G Industry Community contributors, global 5G leaders, Alliances and Associations.

TCCA CEO Kevin Graham will be joined by Scott Agnew, President FirstNet by AT&T & Jeff Bratcher, Deputy Executive Director, Office of Operations and Chief Technology Officer, FirstNet to cover the landscape and case study of mobile broadband networks for public safety.

Tero Pesonen, TCCA Vice Chair & Board Director, Critical Communications Broadband Group Chair and TCCA representative to 3GPP will moderate an expert panel including Issam Toufik, ETSI CTO and 3GPP Project Coordination Group Secretary, Antti Kauppinen, CTO Erillisverkot Finland, Guillaume Lambert, Director ACMOSS France, and Brianna Huettel, Strategy and Operations Lead, NIST, covering an exploration of the policies, technologies, and business models for private networks in the public sector.

Hear how leading mission critical projects and 3GPP technical specifications developed for the needs of mission critical industry sector communications have made it possible to define different quality of service, priority and pre-emption mechanisms which, when implemented, allow private use of public communication networks, transforming them into quasi-private networks that are also being complemented with private deployments in various scenarios.
