CCW 2022 celebrates the critical communications sector

Critical Communications World (CCW) 2022 takes place at the Messe in Vienna, on 21-23 June, featuring three days of in-depth conference sessions and Focus Forum sessions, delivered by critical communications thought leaders from across the globe. The theme this year is ‘Evolving the Ecosystem,’ with multiple topic streams including ‘international perspectives and collaboration’, ‘transition to broadband and 5G,’ ‘cybersecurity’ and ‘evolving technologies.’

We are delighted to announce that Mr Florian Tursky, Austrian State Secretary for Digitization and Broadband, pictured right, will be officially opening the event on 21 June. We are also delighted to be joined by Ms Kirsia Pimiä, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Finland. Ms Pimiä will give the opening keynote address on 22 June, on the topic: ‘What will the future look like and what can we do about it now’.

Ms Kirsia Pimiä

Kirsi Pimiä, pictured left, has served as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, which is the ministry for internal security and migration, since February 1 2020. Relating to her position as the Permanent Secretary, she acts as the Chairperson of the National Cooperation Group of Internal Security and as a Vice Chairperson of the Advisory Board of National Defense Education.

Kirsi Pimiä is among others a Member of the Committee for EU Affairs, the Security Committee of Finland, the Arctic Advisory Board dealing with Finland’s Strategy for the Arctic Region, the Finnish National Commission on Sustainable Development, the National Emergency Supply Council, the Coordination Group of National Intelligence and Situational Picture, the Advisory Board of Finland Customs, and the Advisory Body on Civil Service Ethics.
