Australia welcomes Sepura once again
Sepura secures another Australian commercial order, this time from the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast, Queensland. This landmark contract was made possible by Trans Communications, a dealer for ComGroup, one of Sepura’s channel partners in Australia.
Sepura radios are an integral part of a new digital communication system specifically deployed for the Pacific Fair. This new system – which replaces a dated and restrictive analogue network – will enable the shopping centre to meet the growing demands of the retail environment by ensuring greater traffic capacity, enhanced security of communications and clearer speech quality. In addition, the ability to utilise advanced voice, telephone interconnect and data features will improve the total business efficiency and customer service delivery within the retail complex.
Pacific Fair is about to undergo a large expansion and redevelopment project that will make it Queensland’s largest shopping centre. It already contains a multiplex cinema and leisure centre and hosts major international and speciality stores.
Sepura’s STP hand-portable and SRG mobile TETRA radios will be supplied to a variety of operators within the centre and will be used specifically for personnel location, centre management, maintenance, security and cleaning services.
Johnny van Rooyen from Trans Communications says: “Our customer had no hesitation in selecting Sepura thanks to the radios’ GPS tracking and Bluetooth technology features as well as for their impressive digital audio clarity”.
The Bluetooth location system by Zonith, one of Sepura’s solutions partners, will be used to track employees throughout the shopping centre thus providing greater levels of security and more effective management of resources. This is one of the many solutions Sepura and its partners are able to provide under the auspices of Sepura’s highly successful Solutions Partner Programme.
Doug Bowden, Senior Business Development Manager for Sepura said: “It meant a great deal to us, our partner ComGroup and their dealer Trans Communications, to implement their first TETRA digital system in Queensland within a commercial environment such as Pacific Fair”.
Kevin Graham, Regional Sales Director for Sepura concluded “Pacific Fair joins a growing list of small, but significant customer organisations in Australia. The country is progressively starting to embrace TETRA in similar fashion to the rest of Asia Pacific and we are confident that our radios will enable these new users to make the most of the enhanced voice and data features available with this digital radio technology”.
