Australasian Critical Communications Forum (ACCF) briefs TelSoc on the progress and status of Mission critical Broadband 4G, 5G.

At the invitation of the TelSoc, https://telsoc.org/about_telsoc, the Australasian Critical Communications Forum (ACCF/TCCA) briefed TelSoc directors and members with the progress and status of  “Mission Critical Broadband” at the Telstra Experience Centre in Melbourne on the Tuesday 26th of February. The session was broadcast via Zoom to Telsoc members around Australia. The briefing by ACCF directors Kevin Graham and Sohan Domingo to TelSoc members provided an overview of “Mission Critical Communications Broadband” – when the standards will be ready, what the  current status is of 3GPP mission critical Releases for 4G, 5G, who will be the early adopters and how the new systems will be introduced to ensure continuity of service for critical users – when globally a number of Public Safety and Emergency Services organisations plan for dedicated broadband in addition to their narrowband network – dedicated P25, TETRA or other narrowband networks to mission critical broadband service relying on partnerships with commercial operators.
